As experimental musician Hans Fjellestad played his sonic textures in the background, guests mingled and interacted with the artists and their work and were also given an accompanying show book featuring the personal stories of each grant winner, their process, and their journey.

“As an organization, we aspire to honor artists and their invaluable contributions to human culture,” says Not Real Art creator, Scott “Sourdough” Power. “We do this by helping artists promote their work and tell their stories.”

This year’s grant recipients were selected based on several factors such as the quality of their work and how they challenge the status quo of our dysfunctional art world.

"I created NOT REAL ART with the intent to celebrate and elevate artists and their work. As an organization, we aspire to honor artists and their invaluable contributions to human culture. We do this by helping artists promote their work and tell their stories. We do this on our website and podcast, at our events and conference — and with this grant. " — Scott "Sourdough" Power
