The Care Bears Come to Los Angeles in Corey Helford’s New Exhibition

Events & News Artist Profiles 2 min read

Who’s your favorite Care Bear™️? Was it Birthday Bear, the orange cub with a cupcake on his stomach? How about Grumpy Bear, the Eeyore of Care-a-Lot Castle? If you grew up in the ’80s (hello, Millennials), you’ll likely remember the multicolored teddies from their animated specials, feature-length films, and popular TV series (1995 - ’98).

Millennials, don’t grow up just yet; this month, Los Angeles gallery Corey Helford hosts Care Bears™️ Forever, an exclusive group exhibition inspired by classic Care Bears characters. Featuring new work from over 75 international artists, the exhibition was created in partnership with Cloudco Entertainment, the parent company of the Care Bears brand.

“We are thrilled to present Care Bears™️ Forever, our first-ever art exhibit that celebrates the timeless appeal of Care Bears,” says Kristeen Tibbits, Cloudco Entertainment’s head of marketing. “This marks a pivotal and highly anticipated moment for the brand and showcases the brand's evolution in art and culture, bringing together over 75 talented artists. We’re excited to see how these artists have infused their unique styles and perspectives into the whimsical land of Care-A-Lot. This exhibit not only pays homage to the brand's heritage but also serves as a vibrant reflection of its continued relevance in today's culture."
